My Dad and I were hiking through the Remarkables. On the way past Lake Benmore I asked him for some facts. He told me that when you could see the lake clearly (like we could) the mountains weren’t that visable, and visa versa. Makiko was waiting at the end of the path for me with some balloons. I was self conscious to see her when I had such a silly hair-cut. On the way back down the mountain, the view was much more stunning. I still couldn’t see all of the tops of the mountains, but I could see the snow lines, and the sun filtering through the mist and reflecting off the snow was stunning.
