I Did It Wrong.

My mum was the captain of a ship. It was a large passenger vessel. We had been on a cruise and it was time to land at our final destination. Mum explained to me that the only way to get off one of these boats was to jump from the deck into the water (which was very far). I’d never done it before, but it didn’t look too difficult. Ami and her mum did it with no problems. I stood on the egde and pushed off.
I did it wrong. There was too much strength in my legs and I flipped the whole ship over. It was upside down in the water, and mum was still inside. I had to dive under and flip the ship the right way up again. Mum was fine. She said, “If you needed help, you should have asked.”
